Indications: Used for sternal closure and fixation after thoracotomy
surgery.
Instruments: Operating Surgical Instrument
Material: Pure Titanium
Sternalink
Overview:
The Sternalink is an interlocking plate system designed to achieve compression across the sternotomy after open heart surgery. Two opposing 'claws' are seated in the intercostal spaces and instrumentation is used to engage the two components whilst reducing and compressing the sternotomy.
Description:
The sternalink implant combines contemporary philosophy for bone fixation and absolute simplicity in design to give the patient fast return to daily activities and the surgeon confidence in closing sternotomies. Utilizing the essential principles of bone fixation, the Claw implant system creates compression across the sternotomy to create the ultimate in stability and proximity of the bone interfaces. The instrumentation and implant design allow for efficiency of surgical workflow and fixation within minutes.
Claw
Overview:
The Claw is an interlocking plate system designed to achieve compression across the sternotomy (Manubrium) after open heart surgery. Two opposing 'claws' are seated in the intercostal spaces and instrumentation is used to engage the two components whilst reducing and compressing the sternotomy.
Description:
The Claw is utilises the underlying philosophy of the Sternalink range and has been specifically designed for closure of the manubrium. Carefully contoured for maximum patient comfort, the Claw allows for maximum stability of the manubrium whilst respecting the patient morphology. The instrumentation allows for compression across the sternotomy to optimise healing of the bone and stability of the shoulder girdle for fast patient recovery.
Embrace
Overview:
The Embrace is a low profile titanium plate designed to stabilise rib fractures. It achieves fast reduction and reliable stability by contouring to the bone with a set of specialised pliers. No screw fixation is required.
Description:
The 'Embrace' rib fixation allows for quick, efficient fixation of multi-rib trauma in an extreme low profile implant. With no requirement for drilling, the bone is embraced by the implant using first class instrumentation to create a stable fracture site without creating further trauma to the bone. The Embrace can be easily applied to upper posterior ribs which is not achievable with traditional plate and screw systems.
Waston Medical's Cardiothoracic research and innovation has incorporated the latest in orthopaedic principles to sternal closure to develop the Claw closure system. This collaboration with health care professionals has resulted in a robust device that can withstand over 2600N's of force across the sternotomy whilst maintaining extreme simplicity for rapid closures in under 5 minutes.
The Claw primarily uses compression across the sternotomy to enhance the stability and encourage bone growth through taking advantage of Wolfes law. Enhanced stability across the sternotomy reduces post operative pain associated with unstable closures and encourage patients to begin active recovery. The large surface area for contact with the bone ensures the device resists pull through and eliminates the cheese wire effect seen with traditional wiring techniques. It is a simple, reliable and fast closure technique that should be considered by every Cardio-Thoracic surgeon.
COMPANY INTRODUCTION
As a national high-tech enterprise, the proportion of our R&D investment to total sales has been over 8% for consecutive years, realizing the transformation of the experts' clinical experience and their innovative ideas into achievements, launched several innovative products which have the national invention patents and patents for utility model. At present, we pioneer globally the revolutionary innovation technology of Rev Drill system,Three-Row-Stapler,Sternal Fixation and Rib plate, which are fully endorsed by both the experts and the market, as a national brand and benchmarking of innovative products in the domestic medical devices industry.
MANUFACTURE INTRODUCTION
"Good faith as the base, quality above all" is Waston's Philosophy.
Waston operates strictly according to the ISO13485 quality system, at the same time proceed the specifications of medical devices manufacturing quality management, implants and sterile medical devices execution rules, as well as the CE MDD 93/42/EEC directive implementation.
In recent years we have formed the quality control system of international standard level by constant upgrading, standardization of management in details, improvement of the whole process control. We have also imported a lot of processing equipment, including the German-imported and American-imported machining centers, Japanese-imported automatic lathes and so on, ensuring our first-class quality by first-class equipment. Since 2011 we've invested over 20 million RMB in the expansion of our Testing Center, which is divided into a biomechanical laboratory and a physical-chemical testing center, providing powerful assurance to our three key critical points: raw material procurement control, product quality control and new product performance analysis.
CONGRESS SHOW
Our products are exported to many countries, such as Columbia, France, Turkey, Indonesia, Mexico, Russia, and Thailand etc. According to their feedbacks, the quality of our products can well meet the standards in their countries.
